My parents' house in Cambridge was a large bungalow with a lovely garden. It had 7 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a dining room, kitchen and a large garage. The garden consisted of a rose garden, a spacious lawn with pond and waterfall and a playing field which we used to play football and tennis.
My parents enjoyed having young people around and stimulated us to take our friends home. It didn't matter to them what our friends looked like, which background they had or what culture they came from. Because of this, there were always people around the house. And my mother's coffee made sure they stayed.
Barbara always felt at home at my parents' house and she really enjoyed coming there. Life there was so different from her life with her own family.
Below pictures I found of this house and the life we lived. They show us playing football and chess (it seems somehow strange and unexpected that bikers like us played a lot of chess). Some pictures have Barbara in them. On a few pictures you can see my older brothers. The one with the motorbike is my first brother.
