After learning textile design, Yung Mei Ling became an actress. Yung Mei Ling feels no regret.

Yung Mei Ling does not feel sad about that her study cannot be used in her current job. She said that the most important thing of work is to be happy as life is short. If she can do what she wants, it is marvelous. So she does not set any boundaries to limit herself.
Mei Ling studied textile design in United Kingdom. After her study she got job in textile design in which she was very happy. Later she got an acting contract by TVB as host in the TV-show “Woman’s Today”. When she left UK she couldn’t bear to leave her parents.
She says: “Everyone reckons a single daughter is easily influenced and dependent. In fact, I am very independent. During my study, I learned how to look after myself. Otherwise, my mother would not allow me to go back to Hong Kong.”
“When I was filming in “The Fearless Duo”, I had not got much of an appetite. I guess the reason was the irregular meal times. In order not to look tired, I tried to eat some Chinese health food. In the past, I never ate this type of food.”
