An artist’s life is tearful and bloody. Real sword used in a fighting scene. Yung Mei Ling's left eye was stabbed , a lot of blood trickled down on her cheek．She was almost blinded.
The first series “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” namely “The Eagle Shooting Heroes” has only 20 episodes. The filming of this series will be finished soon. However, it had an unexpected accident. Yung Mei Ling was stabbed with a sword during a fighting scene, she was sent to hospital and 5 sutures were needed to sew up her wound.
The operational staff saw the accident happen. They expressed that Yung Mei Ling and others had a smooth rehearsal on 23rd of February. However, when filming started, Yung Mei Ling’s left eye was stabbed. As they used a real sword, she was bleeding instantly heavily and that made her feel dizzy. She was sent to Baptist hospital. TVB’s General Manager Ho Ka Lu, Lee Yu, Tong Chun Yip and Wong Tin Lam have been visiting her individually. Yung Mei Ling lying in bed expressed that her left eye did not see clearly when stabbed. She thought she would become a blind lady as her eyeball was stabbed. Luckily, she could avoid the sword hitting her eye and so the sword just stabbed her left eyelid. Her eyelid will leave a scar after recovery. With a smile she says: Originally, I have a double eyelid but I will have triple eyelid after this.
Hospital has notified Yung Mei Ling that she had to stay in the hospital for one week. As such, filming of “The Eagle Shooting Heroe” will be blocked. Despite this, Wong Tin Lam planned to start filming of the second series of “The Legend of the Condor Heroes”. Once Yung Mei Ling is recovered, they will film this scene of “The Eagle Shooting Heroes” again .
Yung Mei Ling did not inform her relatives yet in order not to worry her mama. Tong Chun Yip will visit her when he does have any filming commitments.
