Yung Mei Ling’s performance is excellent
Her first perfomance is wonderful
After watching “The Legend of the Unknowns” in which Yung Mei Ling acted as Princess, TVB’s judgement is excellent to choose Yung Mei Ling to act as charming Huang Rong.
It is sure that from three thousand candidates there is always one with a lovely smile and pretty face. However, it is rare to find a lady that combines a classic beauty and a modern beauty. Yung Mei Ling is such a beauty. Once dress-up, she can gives us an unique sense of feeling. Apart from her appearance, her adaptability is good. She reacts quick to everything. We can use “The Legend of the Unknowns” as a reference.
Even though she had no experience in acting in the TV series, she behaved naturally in performing. In the story “The Legend of the Unknowns”, she acted as a younger sister of the Qing Dynasty Emperor. The emperor dotes on her so she was unruly and obstinate. And, she likes to play a joke on everyone. Besides, she doesn’t like to stay in the boring palace so she always leaves secretly. Yung Mei Ling acts this role very excellent. She doesn’t seem like a new comer. For this reason, she must be capable in acting Huang Rong.
Furthermore, she had done much preparation for this role. Yung Mei Ling says: “I am now learning Kung Fu as well as learning how to speak like ancient person. Besides, I had spent time to read the novel of “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” in order to get to know the characteristic of Huang Rong in her daily behaviours. I plan to show to the audiences that Huang Rong has a unique character. The “The Legend of the Unknowns” was a preparation for “The Legend of the Condor Heroes”. “
