Published by Starlight Books in Hong Kong, Screen Icons was a magazine that saw Weng Meiling grow from a newcomer to a superstar. When Weng Meiling was alive, the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th all used Weng Meiling as the cover, in addition to printing a large number of photos of the 3Rs and 2R for sale. This also caused a lot of discontent among fans of other stars. Of course the publication did a lot of explaining. But it was also clear that Starlight Books had a preference for Yung Meiling in the early days. After Yung Meiling passed away, Starlight Books was also sincere and did three consecutive specials (Series 1 Forever Yung Meiling, Series 2 Remembering Yung Meiling, Series 3 Fairy of the Earth Yung Meiling) in her memory as a tribute. In dozens of issues of Screen Icons, there were also occasional references to Yung Meiling, and a large number of nostalgic pictures and articles were printed in memory of Yung Meiling.

香港星辉图书公司出版的《荧幕偶像》见证了阿翁从一个新人成长为一个巨星的杂志刊物。阿翁在世时，第1、2、4、5、6、7都用了阿翁作为封面，另外刊印了大量3R和2R的相片售卖。这也引来很多其他明星fans的不满。当然刊物也做了很多解释。但其实也看出早期星辉对阿翁的偏爱。阿翁过世后，星辉也诚意满满，连续做了三期（第一辑永远的翁美玲、第二辑怀念翁美玲、第三辑人间仙子翁美玲）纪念她的特辑作为缅怀。在几十上百起的《荧幕偶像》刊发中，也时不时地提到阿翁，也刊印了大量怀旧美图美文缅怀翁
