"Fan Club Membership Requires Passing a Test?"
Barbara Yung Says It’s Not Human Trafficking!

Barbara Yung recently returned from a performance trip to Thailand, feeling very satisfied with the experience. The warmth and enthusiasm of her fans made her feel that the world was full of kindness, dispelling the cold of the weather.

After coming back, she officially organized her fan club. Earlier, Barbara had mentioned that she wouldn’t set up a fan club so soon, mainly to avoid being seen as arrogant. The entertainment industry is sensitive, and she didn’t want to invite gossip, so she had politely declined her fans’ goodwill several times.

"Have you given in to reality and stopped caring about others’ criticism?"
"They were just too passionate! Though I did go back on my word, sometimes you can’t just worry about what others say and ignore those who genuinely like you. Since TVB is also supporting me in this, why not join in the fun?"

"I heard that joining your fan club requires passing a test, only those who qualify are approved?" (Looking into her dark, beautiful eyes...)
"Don’t think I’m trafficking people!" Barbara laughed. "The conditions are very simple, anyone who’s sincere and well behaved can join."

"Is there a limit on how many members you will accept?" The questions kept circling back to the fan club.
"No decision yet, but if there are too many, of course, I will have to make restrictions. Otherwise, just anyone could join."

In the past, some artists performing in Southeast Asia would avoid mentioning their boyfriends or girlfriends, as fans might not accept their romantic partners. "Did you face any backlash from fans over Kent Tong?"
"Before the trip, some seniors warned me about this issue. But surprisingly, fans actually brought up Kent themselves, asking about his personality and how he treats me. So, I didn’t have to dodge the topic."

"Will you bring Kent along for your next performance?"
"No," she said firmly. "Having Kent with me would raise the cost, and many promoters can’t afford that. Besides, it’s better for us to each earn our own keep."

Barbara considers herself lucky, her first solo performance tour was a great success, which has motivated her to work even harder to repay her fans’ support. She also hopes to take on more acting roles to gain wider acceptance from audiences.
