On the fourth of June 1984 bought Barbara's mother an apartment for Barbara at Welcome Gardens, 39 Broadcast drive in the district Kowloon in Hong Kong for about 500.000 HK dollars (about 61.500 US dollars or 47.500 euro).
The apartment was at the first floor of this building, apartment B. In the same building also lived Kent Tong and famous actor/actress couple Adam Cheng Siu Chau / Lydia Shum Din Ha.

(note: Nowadays a similar apartment in the same building is worth about 9.900.000 HK dollars (1.220.000 US dollars or 940.000 euro).
Before Barbara moved to this apartment she had been living with her godmother at Tin Kwong Road in Kowloon.
The big advantages of this apartment at Broadcast drive is that it was only a two minute walk from the TVB studios.
(note: By the late 1980s, TBV had out-grown the facility at Broadcast Drive, and built a new studio complex, named T.V. City, at 220 Clear Water Bay Road in November 1988. The old Broadcast Drive headquarters was later converted into apartments (Peninsula heights block A, next to Broadcast drive gardens), the studio where Barbara worked and many pictures were taken is now Hong Kong television house and Hong Kong commercial radio (3 Broadcast drive, Beacon hill, google maps position)
There is a lot of information available on the internet about Barbara's apartment. This makes it possible to get on idea what Barbara's apartment looked like. Here are my efforts.
In the diagram below I show the furniture in the appartment. The icons I usei just indicate the type of furniture, they are not pictures of the original furniture.
Barbara was very open about her apartment to the public. Often she held interviews at this apartment. I have seen at least 7 different photo shoots and at least three television recordings that have been taken at her apartment. In one television interview Barbara let the public have a good view of her living- and bedroom.

米白椅子 最受宠爱
“嗐，因为天气太热了，冷气时时罢工，忙的透不过气，那有时间打扮，不如穿运动装，倒是比较舒服呢。”她连说连走的带我们进入她的房子里。
一进门，便知翁美玲是懂得享受的人，她的房子全是以松木和一些淡雅的浅色组合家俱，这给予人一种舒服的感觉。
在大门口的旁边，是一个楠木架，上摆有一些物品。全客厅都是暗花壁纸，米黄色的家俬，客厅放有浅黄色的楠木椅和茶几。在客厅的另一旁，有一组白色的长柜，上面摆有电视、录影机等组合，都是女主人最喜爱的。摆在电视机前的一个白色椅子，它外型像是一个没有腿的休息椅。“如果没有通告，就喜欢呆在家，因此家中的设计一定不能马虎。”她一面说，一面递我一杯果汁。
阿汤赠送 一对哑玲
在那白色长柜的旁边，有一个很大的落地镜，前面放了一双哑玲。
“这是阿汤送给我的，他说平时要多做运动，锻炼身体，才不会病倒！”说起阿汤，她的脸上总是带着微笑。
大门的门口还有一面记事墙，上面写有她日程和交费的帐单，这可以记录她日常的活动。
进她的卧室，真是一个布公仔天堂，单是床头就有一大堆布公仔。
“我很喜欢公仔，这么大部分都是朋友送的，个个样子都很可爱的，而我也很喜欢搂着他们，就很容易入睡呢。”我相信她的公仔朋友们也会很喜欢这个小主人呢！
圆形大床 粉红墙纸
她的床是蛮有趣的，是一个踏步的木床，在上面围一床褥，再配同一个蓝色的床单，在床头则有一个翁美玲手绘画像，粉红色的墙纸，配以蓝色的窗帘。而在白色柜上，有一瓶白菊花，乍看之下，还以为是真的。
“我喜欢花，但又怕打理，所以家里放的都是塑料花。这样省得多时间呢。”这人真是可爱。
在她的家中，最吸引的就是那鲜红色的大靠垫。
“这是我妈从英国带来的，我喜欢它的颜色，而且是妈咪特意带给我的，所以就算是与屋中的色调不协调，也乐于作为点缀。”

A Visit to Barbara Yung’s Home (May 1984)
"Ding-dong—" The doorbell rang, and there stood the star of our visit—Barbara Yung herself.
Dressed in a pink tracksuit, she greeted us warmly.
"Look at you, Hong Kong’s ‘Ball of Energy’—even off-duty, you’re still in athletic wear!" we teased.
"Ugh, it’s so hot lately," she laughed, ushering us inside. "My air conditioner keeps failing, and I’ve been swamped with work—who has time to dress up? A tracksuit is just more comfortable!"
A Home Designed for Comfort
Stepping in, it was clear Barbara cherished coziness. Her apartment featured light pinewood furniture and soft pastel tones, creating a serene atmosphere.
By the entrance stood a sandalwood shelf adorned with trinkets. The living room walls were covered in subtle floral-print paper, paired with cream-colored furniture—a sandalwood coffee table, pale yellow chairs, and a white entertainment unit holding her prized possessions: a TV, VCR, and stereo.
In front of the TV sat a legless white lounge chair, her favorite spot. "When I’m not filming, I love staying home," she said, handing me a glass of juice. "So I made sure every detail here feels just right."
Kennt’s Gift and Memory Wall
Beside the entertainment unit, a full-length mirror leaned against the wall, with a pair of dumbbells at its base.

The round wooden platform bed, topped with blue sheets, stood against pink floral wallpaper. A self-portrait sketch hung above the headboard, and a vase of faux white chrysanthemums (so lifelike we almost mistook them for real) decorated the dresser.
"I love flowers but hate maintenance," she shrugged. "Plastic ones save me the hassle!"
The room’s standout piece? A vibrant red floor cushion.
"Mum brought this from England. The color pops, and it’s from her—so even if it clashes, it stays!"

床头有一幅油画，是亚翁的舅父所画的，亚翁最喜欢就是这幅，特别从英国带来香港，还有一大堆影迷送的公仔，亚翁也是爱不释手的。
因为工作忙，休息时间少，所以亚翁特别喜欢留在家里，她觉得留在家里最舒服的。
