Endless Rumors Leaving Her Frustrated
“After rumors with Michael Miu, then Tony Leung, now all that's left is for people to link me with Andy Lau!” Yung Mei-ling exclaimed in exasperation over recent gossip. These rumors have greatly impacted her image, and it's no wonder she's so upset.
Previously, Yung was known for her straightforwardness, often speaking her mind without reservation. Today, however, she appeared weighed down with concerns, hesitant to speak freely. After a long pause, she finally said:
“I read an article where Tony Leung addressed our rumored relationship, and it made me furious. He could have just denied it, but instead, he went on to spout ridiculous analogies about plugs and sockets. I feel he didn’t respect my dignity. Think about it—when asked about my impression of him, I’ve always said he’s diligent and well-behaved, defending his image. But now, his comments have somewhat tarnished mine.”
Misunderstood Relationships
“When people hear about me dating Tony Leung, they’re surprised and say I’m older than him, as if I seduced him. But I already have a boyfriend; I don’t need to do such things. These rumors hurt not only me but are unfair to Kent Tong as well.”
With a surge of emotion, Yung seemed to find an outlet for her frustration, speaking freely I said:
“When rumors first spread about Michael Miu and her , I thought Barbara Yung, being in the same industry, would understand the situation. I even explained to her myself, hoping to avoid misunderstandings. She gave me a resigned smile at the time. But later, I heard from a friend that Barbara was genuinely upset with me. Isn’t that foolish?”. Having worked with Michael Miu multiple times, Yung considered him almost like an older brother. Even when he hugged her or pinched her cheeks playfully, she thought nothing of it. Now that Michael and Barbara have grown closer, their romance has taken center stage, finally putting rumors about her and Michael came to rest.
On Her Relationship with Kent Tong.
“How are things with Kent Tong?” I asked. If there hadn’t been issues in their relationship, these rumors might not have surfaced.
“I don’t know,” Yung replied in a low, melancholic tone. It seemed even she was uncertain about her own feelings, eliciting sympathy. Tong, when asked the same question, gave a similar response.
“You’ve mentioned that you and Tong have many differences. Have you tried to work things out?”
With a helpless expression, she answered lightly:
“We’ve talked about it, but we couldn’t resolve much. We both feel it’s best to let things take their course.”
She glanced out the window before turning back to add: “Tong has always been very good to me, very attentive. People should have a sense of gratitude, so I still care for him deeply. I’ve made an effort and have a clear conscience. To maintain this relationship, he’s already changed a lot. We’ve both done our best. Even if we’re unfortunate enough to part ways in the future, we’ll have no regrets.” Yung recalled how, when she first entered the entertainment industry, Tong took great care of her, especially during one incident when she injured her eye while filming. His meticulous care left a lasting impression on her.

Future Plans
“If you weren’t acting, would you return to England to pursue other opportunities?”
“Staying in Hong Kong, I could switch to a different career. But returning to England is also a possibility. I used to work in textile design there, and my former boss even wrote to me recently, asking me to come back.”
Despite the entertainment industry’s complexities, its ability to provide fulfillment keeps actors like Yung captivated. The fame and fortune she’s achieved are hard to abandon.

半响,她才接着说: “我看了梁朝伟接受 访问谈及这件绯闻的文章 ·十分生气,他否认就行 啦,何必还要发表爱情谬 论,说什么插座、插头呢。 ?我觉得他没有顾及我的 自尊,试想想,别人问我 对他的印象时,我总是说 他好乖、好勤劳,一直维 护他的形象,可是,他说 那香理论,或多或少都会 破坏了我的形象。”
“别人听见我跟伟仔 拍拖的消息,显得很惊讶 ·说我的年纪大过他,好 像我引诱他那样,要知道 ·我自己有男朋友,毋须 这样做,他们如此说,不 但伤害我,对阿汤也不公 平呀。”

他所说的饮水 思源,是她最初加入 电视圈的时候,阿汤十分 照顾她,尤其是有一次她 周到,对她体贴入微,令 她感激不已,至今仍牢记 心中。
很多过来人都说,爱 情只是一杀那的一回事, 也许,两年半来的相处, 他们之间已没有爱情,有 的只是感情吧!

"留在香港,我也可 以转行做别的行业,然而 也不能抹煞返回英国的可 能性。以前我在英国做纺 织设计,那老板月前还写 过一封信给我,叫我回去 再替他效力。”
虽然,娱乐圈特别多 是是非非,但在演出上, 「他们做艺员的得到很大的 满足感。所以,娱乐圈如 一个磁场,艺员就是磁石 ,不容易脱离。阿翁得到 今天的名与利,不会轻易 放弃吧?!
