Singapore girl wins UK prize
London, February 19.
An 18-year-old Singapore girl was last night crowned Miss Chinatown of Britain. Miss Sue Wang, a student, won a two-week holiday In Hong Kong and £1,000 (about HK$11,000).
The runner-up was Miss Yung Mei Ling (20) from Hong Kong. She received £500 (about HK$5,500) and a weekend in Paris.
Third prize went to a Malaysian, Miss Jenny Lee (20), and Miss Jenny Hsu (24) from Taiwan was fourth. Miss Yvonne Lam (20) from Hong Kong was voted Miss Friendship by her fellow contestants.

[伦敦2月19日电] 昨晚，一位18岁的新加坡女孩荣膺"英国华埠小姐"桂冠。学生王苏（Sue Wang）除获此殊荣外，还将赢得香港双周游及1000英镑（约合1.1万港元）奖金。
来自香港的翁美玲（20岁）获得亚军，收获500英镑（约合5500港元）及巴黎周末游。季军由马来西亚选手李珍妮（20岁）获得，台湾选手许珍妮（24岁）位列第四。
香港选手林伊芳（20岁）则经其他参赛者投票，获封"友谊小姐"称号。
