On the evening of November 20, 1982, Yung Mei Ling attended the 15th Anniversary of the Taiwan Radio and TV Arts Party Gala held at the Haicheng Restaurant Night Club. It was the first time that Kent Tong and Yung Mei Ling appeared together at a formal occasion. Yung Mei Ling as a newcomer in the entertainment circuit was not formally invited.
