This year I visited Cambridge together with two Barbara fans. One came from Taiwan and the other from Hong Kong. We visited places of memories mentioned in the stories. It was nice to share my memories and also how we discussed life in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
We visited the CCAT, where we managed to get into the Barbara’s former classroom which hadn’t changed much. We also went to Histon and had lunch at the fish and chip shop. A special moment was the three of us sitting in the sun, on the park bench of the village green, discussing Barbara’s life, knowing that 35 years ago Barbara had sat on this same bench watching her dogs play on the grass and in the duck pond.
Our journey ended at Barbara’s grave where each of showed our respects in our own personal way.
During our visit we heard that Barbara’s mother is still doing well. She had a stroke last year but gladly she recovered from that.
It was a wonderful sunny day and my guests were so polite to say that I haven’t changed much compared with my youth pictures (except for the hair)
The Taiwan fan published a report about our visit on:
Unfortunately is only written in Chinese, but here are the pictures she made.
