Yung Mei Ling before and after death
Not long ago, I went to Yung Mei Ling's apartment for a home visit, and I did not expect that great changes were to occur. These photos became her last series of home life.
Since Yung Mei Ling returned to Hong Kong from England in 1982, she had been living in the home of her godmother at Tin Kwong Road in Kau Pui Lung.
A few years ago, her nominal father Zhang Chong sold her for a cheap price an apartment at Welcome gardens. Yung Melling moved out of her godmothers house and started to live an independent life.
I still remember the chat the day I visited. her. Kent Tong was there as well,
Yung Mei Ling, : "This long kitchen is just for 'decoration', I don't cook at home at all, and I don't know how to cook. There are all kinds of instant noodles that can be boiled, and I will cook them”. She also praised Kent Tong's willingness for cooking her food, and that he was very attentive to her.
Yung Mei Ling has a large double bed on the ground, and she explained: this home is just a sleeping place for me, and my greatest enjoyment in this room is sleeping. Unintentionally she pushed open a wooden door in the wall, it appeared to be a cupboard and it showed several sets of men's suits; when I went to to her bathroom, I also found some men items such as shaved equipment, but for the sake of knowledge, I didn't ask her about the owner of these things.
These rooms are full of dolls and photo frames. There are dozens of frames! The photos are showing herself or her and Kent Tong. Yung Mei Ling said that the dolls and photos are gifts from fans. They love to give her a color picture in a frame. Feelings of pleasure and happiness fills the room. Looking at these pictures, I can't help but feel sad. Who would have thought that there was a lot of distress hidden behind her smile? .....

翁美玲生前死後
不久前才到翁美玲寓所做家訪，詎料巨變頓生，這些相片成了她的最後一輯家居生活照。
阿翁自八二年由英返港後，本一直居於紅磡天光道契媽的家，年前得契爺張冲廉價售與偉錦園的單位給她，阿翁爲貪方便才遷離契娘家，做其業主且過其獨立生活。
猶記那日閒談中阿翁仍把阿湯掛於咀邊：
「這個長長的厨房不過是『裝飾品」，我根本不在家煮食，也不懂煮食。煮下公仔麵都有嘅，由阿仔煮俾我食囉。」她還讚阿仔樂於保湯煮餸，對她細心非常。
她有張坐地的大的雙人床，阿翁解釋：這個家對她來說只是個睡覺的地方，她在此屋的最大享受，也是訓覺而已。
無意中推開一扇又似牆又似門的板木，發現了多套男西裝；其後借用她的洗手間，也發現有鬚刨等物，不過爲了知情識趣，沒向她問起這些東西的主人。
阿翁家中有兩多，一多是公仔，滿房滿床皆是；二多是相架，足足數十個之多！相架裏全是她或她與湯鎮業的合照，阿翁說，這些都是影迷送的禮物，她們愛把彩照彩頁連相架一併送她，她也來者不拒，樂於把影迷的暖人心意填滿了一室。
重看此照不勝唏嘘，誰料到她的笑容背後實已埋藏着苦惱重重？.....
