Yung Mei Ling is a famous actress, but she is not happy. She is not happy with her love life, she is dreaming in the middle of the night, and she has trouble sleeping.

翁美玲煩惱傷心有誰知．人矮無藥醫笑罵任由你
【訪談亞翁內文】
翁美玲成了名，心情却不快樂，愛情表面得意，半夜夢迴，傷心難眠，又有誰知？
有人說，當今最紅的女藝員就屬翁美玲和張曼玉了。因為有兩人做封面女郎的娛樂雜誌，一定賣
個滿堂紅，早就銷清。
聽到別人這樣說，翁美玲只會報以一笑說：
「那是別人說的，我自己倒不覺得，也不知道！」
翁美玲紅嗎?
應該是無可置疑的，然而她本人却不以為然。
．成功是靠努力 並無僥倖成份
「我紅？有人比我更紅，
老實說，我並未感到滿足！」
翁美玲認真的表示。
那她的野心到不小了！
「是的，我承認這點，但我總覺得一個人不該會
感到自滿，有滿足就容易不求上進，這樣很容
易就被其他人追上了！」
難怪翁美玲如此努力不懈。
「公司對新人很公平，或者說，
每一個人都有同等的機會，而爭取出線，就要看自己的本事了！」
要保持一定的地位，翁美玲只好不斷自我檢討，不斷地學習。
「短短兩年時間，有目前這個成績，不覺幸運嗎？」
「幸運？」她瞪起一對大眼睛說：「我沒有這種想法！」
她繼續說：「公司給我機會，而其他的就要看
我了，表面上看來，我是幸運的，但又有誰想
過在幸運的背後，我是落了不少心血的啊！」
「那當然囉！」我是絕對同意的。
翁美玲：「還記得嗎？拍射鵰英雄傳的時候，
我的眼睛刺傷，想想看，若那時我的眼睛就此
瞎了，我會有今天嗎？有誰會可憐我，又有誰
會記得我，幸好我是吉人天相，這些都是我的
代價，搏一搏，得回來的。」
她是愈說愈激動了。她說：「譬如有人說，我
說話不清楚，有點兒黐脷根，為了除去這些缺
點，我都很努力學習發音，學講對白，這些，
又是否幸運呢？」
．被人譏為矮妹 難免感到自卑
一套「射鵰」把翁美玲捧到半空，
「俏黃蓉」的形象，她是演得很好的！
「最近每次演完"歡樂今宵"返家途中，都有不少
小影迷在門外等我，沿途送禮物，這些情景，
倒是令我感動，也感到搏是值得的。」
阿翁頗得意說：「喜歡我的影迷，都很極端，不是十二、三歲的小朋友，就是五、六十歲的老人家，對於年青觀眾，我好像找不到。」
這也是她感到遺憾的一點！翁美玲的矮細身材，
一直被視為她升上阿姐級的絆腳石。
「有這個感覺嗎？」
「不怎樣困難，拍古裝無需太高大，老實說，
我與多女藝員的高度是差不多的，但由於我
太瘦了，所以看起來，就更覺矮小。」
「有人彈過你的身高嗎？」
她點一點頭說：「也不知聽過多少次了，那些人也不理會別人的自尊心，我也希望有標準身高啊！長得矮小，這並不是我的過錯嘛！若說我演戲差，那我一定會加以改善，但說到身高，我實在無能為力！不過，現在倒也習慣了。」
．感情全部投入 輾轉翻側難眠
「對了！最近你是消瘦了許多，被情困？」
「表面上，我是無憂無慮的，事業順利，但私底下，我却有許多煩惱，晚上，經常失眠！」
翁美玲足足瘦了十磅之多，雖然是變了排骨美人，但她還自我安慰說：
「瘦一點，上了鏡就會較好看，將錯就錯吧！」
與湯鎮業一段情，翁美玲是考慮得太多！吵咀，當然會發生！
目前，兩人還是好好的在一起，但她却說：「我好煩，靜下來的時候，就會有許多問號出現。」
「與湯鎮業合作時，
覺得怎樣？」
「嘿，認真來說，我們並沒有
正式演過對手戲，雖然是同
一部戲演出，但很少聚頭」
五虎之中，除了梁朝偉和劉德華之外，她都拍過擋。
「談談對五虎的感覺？」
「我與苗僑偉較熟，所以比較
合得來，而華仔（黃日華）
亦不錯嘛！只是不及阿苗那
樣熟而已！」
很快，她與阿苗又合作了，
在「楚留香」一劇中，
兩人又碰頭。
