Interview with Yawng Neiwen
After she was chosen as the host of "Afternoon Tea", her popularity is risen and she is not complacent about this and often asks her seniors for advice and how she can get more into theatre.
"I learnt a lot from playing Wong Yung this time. At the beginning of the film, I played a beggar boy. I learnt a lot from my predecessors. It was all very refreshing.
She lived in England for eight years, where her mother ran a fish and chips takeaway in a small town near Cambridge, and she studied textile design at university. After graduating, she was hired as an assistant to a local fabric designer for six months. She returned to Hong Kong to compete for the Miss Hong Kong award after six months of work.
"When she was studying, she used to go rowing with her classmates to Cambridge I used to go rowing with my classmates to Cambridge, especially in summer, when it was about 20 degrees. When the sun was shining, we would go out on the grass to enjoy the sunshine."
She has 12 cats and two dogs, and every time she goes for a walk with the animals, she is surrounded by a large group of cats and dogs walking to the office.
People in her circle have always said that she and Kent Tong have a good personal relationship and that they get on well together.
Her ideal boyfriend is someone who is tall and has a good sense of style and similar interests.
"Would you prefer a more mature man in terms of age?"
"I prefer someone who is not too far apart. Otherwise they look like my elders."
She smiled sweetly, neither denying nor admitting, "I don't have a boyfriend yet."
"But many people see you holding hands in the street."
"We're just starting out as friends, but what happens in the future? No one can predict the outcome. We've always been good friends, so of course we'll be good friends. We'll see when the time comes."
The pretty girl is often praised as a beauty queen.
She says she blushes at first.
"What do people say about you?"
"People who praise me think I'm good at everything. Those who don't like me don't like me at all. I don't like everything."
She has been in the entertainment industry for less than six months and and she is already oblivious to what is right and wrong in the industry.
"If people want to critizise me, they will say whatever they do, but when I hear the rumours, I can think the other way round and make myself feel better. If people are jealous of me, they are jealous of me."
She knows how to drink, but she won't drink much because she's afraid she'll lose her decorum if she gets red in the face.
"It's a shame for a girl to lose her cool in public. It's better to drink soft drinks than alcohol, because even a small amount of alcohol makes me blush."

翁美玲心目中的理想男友

翁美玲被選為黃蓉之後，知名度
比做「下午茶」主持又高了三分。
她對此並不自滿，常請教前輩怎
樣可以更入戲。
「這次演黃蓉我學了許多東西，
戲一開始我扮乞丐仔，古靈精
怪又俏皮，又跟武術指導學功
夫，一切都是充滿新鮮感。」
．曾做名家助理
她在英國住了八年，母親在劍橋附近的小鎮開了一間魚柳薯條外賣站，她則在大學裡唸紡織設計。
剛畢業，她已被當地一位布料設計名家請為助手，做了半年
，才回港競選港姐。
「唸書的時候，常和同學跑到
劍橋划艇，特別是夏天，廿
度左右的天氣，有太陽時，
大家都跑到草地上享受陽
光，生活寫意又優悠。」
在那邊她養了十二隻貓二隻狗，每次和動物散步，她都被一大堆貓狗簇擁著往公司走。
．心目中的理想男友
圈內人一直都說她和湯鎮的私交很好，兩人頗談得來。
她心目中理想的男朋友形象是外
形高大，有風度和她志趣相投。
「年齡上會否喜歡成熟一些
的呢？」
「我鍾意相距不要太大的，
否則走在一起像我長輩。」
她甜甜一笑，既不否認也不承認說：「暫時我還未有特別親密的
男朋友。」
「但許多人見你們手拉手逛街。」
「我們是開始交個朋友，將來怎樣
沒有人預知結果，感情一直融洽
的當然會成了好朋友，一切順其
自然，時間到了就會分曉。」
漂亮的她，常被人稱讚靚女，
據她說初時會面紅耳赤。
「別人怎樣讚你呢？」
「讚我的人會認為我什麼都好，
不喜歡我的人就對我樣樣也看
不順眼。」
入行不出半年，她已對圈內的
是是非非視若無睹。
「別人若要批評，不論做什麼也會有人講的，不過，謠言聽進耳內，我可以反過來想，令自己舒服一些，
如別人因嫉妒我才惡意中傷我，人言可畏，只要自己無愧於心，就不必理會是是非非了。」
她懂得飲酒，但不肯多喝，是怕面紅耳熱會失儀。
「女孩子在大庭廣眾中失態，很難看，喝汽水也較喝酒好些，因我喝小量酒也會面紅的。」
